DAY 1

Up at the crack of dawn... well I was, mum was still sleeping and dad was out the back still packing! We drove off at 9:30am and of course, I was in the back supervising and trying to read the Tom Tom but dad was still going on about 'if we went here', or 'if we go there'... so in the end I didn't bother with the GPS and just looked out the window enjoying the scenery. I know that mum and dad wanted to take the turn off to JIMBILL but that was out of our way and we couldn't stay anyway...so dad just kept on driving. Mum asked him if he was ok? He said 'started to wilt a bit'. So, being the wonderful wombat I am, I took charge and gave dad a rest. We arrived at Riverglade Caravan Park and set up.
